Reservation, confirmation, payment and cancellation policies Grupo Galapagos


Reservations.
After a customer has inquired about a tour reservation, we will check again to see if spaces are available.

Payments.
- 100% deposit after confirmation.

Methods of payment.
- Online credit card payment at no additional charge.

Once payment has been made:
Please submit the following information:
- Passenger's first and last name.
- Age.
- Nationality.
- Passport or ID number.
- Hotel where you are staying.

Luggage
Tickets include a free baggage allowance of 25 pounds. If you have heavier bags, please let us know so we can purchase the extra baggage in advance. You can also do so at the airline's counters on the day of your trip.

Luggage Policy
Due to aircraft weight restrictions, there may be occasions where luggage will have to be transported on the next scheduled flight to the same destination. This luggage will be collected at airline offices.
Important:
* The weight of the luggage included in your reservation ticket refers to so-called hold luggage and hand luggage.
* All luggage is subject to security inspection.
* In case of damage, breakage or damage caused by operation during transportation, the company will not be responsible.
* The passenger is responsible for the luggage that travels with him in the cabin.

No Show
Passengers marked as: “no show”; will automatically lose their ticket. Passengers are advised to be at least 1 hour earlier at the airport for check-in and boarding.

Flight regulations
- The airline company will deny boarding to a passenger if it is considered that the passenger could affect the safety of the other passengers or the flight, either due to infractions or crimes committed, negligent attitude or behavior, failure to comply with instructions given or the respective laws, signs of having ingested alcoholic beverages or psychotropic substances.
- Smoking any type of cigarettes is strictly prohibited inside the aircraft cabin.

Recommendation
Remember to update your watch and cell phone to Galapagos time (UTC -6).

Travel and accident insurance
It is the passenger's obligation to have travel insurance that covers their luggage and well-being. We are NOT responsible for losses or damages caused during the trip.

For unforeseen events and force majeure that may occur during the course of the trip, which are beyond the control of any of the parties, with the acceptance of these terms and conditions we are exempt from all criminal or civil liability. In such circumstances, we only undertake to issue a certificate in favor of the passengers and/or affected parties so that they can present it to their mandatory private insurance so that they can claim their respective compensation or reimbursement.

Cancellation Policy
Unfortunately we do not offer reimbursements or refunds.

COVID Cancellation
- If you are positive for COVID, you can travel on the plane if you comply with health measures. No refunds will be made or the flight will be rescheduled.

Reservation change policy
Reservations and ticket changes incur a fee that may vary depending on the class of your ticket. The fare is calculated based on a time factor that takes into account the day you wish to request the change and the original departure time of the flight.

Delays & Flight/Tour Connections
From time to time, and without prior notice, the airline may be required to modify, add or omit intermediate or connecting stops on any flight.
Grupo Galapagos cannot guarantee and will not be responsible for missed connections with other flights or previously scheduled tourist activities.
In addition' Grupo Galapagos will not be responsible for any failure or delay in the operation of any flight due to causes beyond our control' defined as "force majeure" events.

Important note:

Grupo Galapagos is an intermediary travel agency in the sale of tickets, therefore it is not responsible for any failures that the aircraft may have.

Airline policies and conditions

General conditions.
As an Air Taxi Operator part 135‚ we are not bound by a regular flight schedule. Our flight times can therefore occasionally be affected by unexpected changes. Any changes to your flight schedule will be notified to you immediately via email or SMS.
The ticket expires one year after the date of issue.
The ticket is non-refundable.


Reservation Changes Policy
Reservation & ticket changes incur a fee that may vary depending on your ticket class. The fee is calculated based on a time factor that takes into account the day you wish to apply for a change and the original flight departure timing.

Cancellation Policy
Unfortunately we do not offer reimbursements or refunds on cancellations made by customers.

No Show
Passengers marked as: “no show”; will automatically lose their ticket. Passengers are therefore advised to be on time for check in and boarding.

Delays & Flight/Tour Connections
Occasionally‚ without prior notice‚ ASAV Airlines may need to change‚ add‚ or omit intermediate or connecting stops on any flight.
ASAV Airlines cannot guarantee and will not be held liable for failed connections to other flights or pre-scheduled touristic activities.
Additionally‚ the airline shall not be liable for any failure or delay in operating any flight due to causes beyond our control‚ defined as events of “force majeur”.

Check-in Policy

Check-in at San Cristobal, Baltra or Isabela airport (inter-island flights from Galapagos to Baltra' Isabela or San Cristobal)
At San Cristobal, Baltra or Isabela, airport, flight check-in is done at the departure terminal.
These flights are operated by ASAV aircraft; this information will be sent to you upon completion of your reservation.
Counters open 1 hour prior to scheduled departure and close 15 minutes prior to departure. If the passenger does not show up on time' he/she is not entitled to travel.

To receive your boarding pass, present the following documents at the check-in counter:
Confirmation of reservation.
Valid official identification with photo.

INGALA Transit Control Card (approximate fee of $20).
ATTENTION: Passengers flying to the Galapagos Islands are requested to be at the airport at least 3 hours prior to departure.

Check-in at San Cristobal or Baltra airport (return flights to Guayaquil or Quito)
At the San Cristobal or Baltra airport, check-in for return flights takes place at the departure terminal. These flights are operated by our partner airlines - this information will be sent to you upon completion of your booking.
We open our counters 2 hours before the scheduled departure and close 45 minutes before. If the passenger does not show up on time, he/she is not entitled to travel.

To receive your boarding pass, present the following documents at the check-in counter:
Confirmation of reservation.
Valid official identification with photo.
Any documentation required for international flights.
INGALA Transit Control Card (approximate fee of $20).

ATTENTION: Passengers flying from Baltra Island must be at the airport at least 3 hours prior to departure due to the travel distance from Baltra airport to Santa Cruz.

Baggage policy

Our goal is to always ship your baggage on the same flight. However, there will be occasions when your baggage must be shipped on later flights due to aircraft weight restrictions.
If you are carrying more than one piece of luggage, it would be advisable to pack a bag with what you should have upon arrival on the island, and let us know what you need to bring, and make sure it will arrive on the same flight.
You don't have to worry if your luggage has to be transferred on a later flight. It will always be insured by our Cargo, department, to be picked up at our offices on the island of your destination.
Due to the size of the aircraft, you will need to hand your carry-on luggage to the cabin crew upon arrival for boarding. Be sure to bring your camera and other personal items you wish to have with you on the plane before boarding.
We recommend the international standard size for checked baggage: 27 x 21 x 14 inches.
Our baggage policy may vary depending on the class of your ticket.
Standard Fare (WD) – 15 lbs per passenger including checked luggage and carry on.
Optimal & Promotion Fare (WE & WP) – 25 lbs per passenger including checked luggage and carry on.
GPS Fare (XP‚ XD & XE) – 25 lbs per passenger including checked luggage and carry on.
Agency Fare (AB‚ AE & AA) – 25 lbs per passenger including checked luggage and carry on.
Flex Plus & Agency Flex Fare (WF & AF) – 35 lbs per passenger including checked luggage and carry on.
Charter Fare – up to 250 lbs including checked luggage and carry on.

Please note that:
Each passenger luggage is weighted individually.
Included baggage per passenger weight does not transfer even if you are part of a group or family under the same reservation.
Extra baggage allowance may be purchased online or at counter desk to increase the included baggage allowance per person.
Extra baggage purchased with more than 24 hours prior to flight departure is offered at a discounted rate of $2 per Pound.
From 24 hour prior to flight departure until check in time the extra baggage rate increases to $2.50 per Pound.


Fragile baggage
We will be happy to transport your fragile luggage. However' we inform you that unfortunately we are not responsible for any damage' breakage or damage caused during or after transportation.
Note: 1kg = 2.21 lbs / 7kg = 15 lbs / 11kg = 25 lbs / 16kg = 35 lbs
